The military culture and African American culture are distinct in that both are defined by core values and beliefs that makes help-seeking behavior challenging. Given this, it is imperative that social workers develop the proper knowledge and skillset needed to deliver Evidenced-Based Treatments and Innovative Community Interventions to these vulnerable populations.

He will also showcase practical examples of innovative community health care and demonstrate how knowledge has been translated into practice.
